Saving as M4A introduces split-second silence

Hi friends, and hopefully developers... for me, saving an audio file as an M4A always introduces a tiny split-second of silence at the end. (You have to close the file and re-open to discover the silence.) While this probably isn't a problem for 99% of users, that silence causes issues on my end because I create M4As that are looping audios. The silence is no bueno for this task. I've had to go to a different platform for this final task of my work. I'd much rather stay in Audition. A fix would be appreciated. Thank you!
