"Scan for Plug-ins" function failure

contextual; Several different VSTs installed, OS is Win11, 64bit system, good expensive system, clean installs of everything, is a new pc.

Problem: not a single VST can be found.

Adobe Audition > VST plugin manager > scan for plugins > “nothing found”

Tried everything. VSTs are 64bit, system is 64bit, app is 64bit.

tried; Steinberg, Slate drums, and a bunch of others.

have read up many others having same issue in forums with no responses or fixes.

I’ve checked this here on an un-scanned update which was showing no plugins, and it worked fine. When you clicked on ‘scan for plugins’ did the scanning box appear, or did nothing at all happen?

I am having this same problem. I have VST3s installed from Waves, Izotope and others. VST3s all load automatically in another DAW (Audactiy), so it is Audition’s scanner I think that is the problem. I have ensured that the ‘VST Plug In Folders’ window is pointing at the right folders, but when I click the Scan button it doesn’t find them (whether ReScan is clicked or not).

Brand new computer running Win11. Need a fix soon or I won’t be continuing with Audition past the free trial (and won’t be able to recommend it!).
