Time Selection Tool

Is there anyway to turn off the default or whatever it is that auto selects the track that my cursor just happens to be on when selecting a time selection? 

The problem is that a lot of times, I'm selecting several tracks together for time selectio, however, I'm still focusing on the originally selected tracks plugins. Whenever I click above or below it to click and drag the multiple track selection, Audition automatically changes my specific track selection to the one I'm dragging through. Then, because I move really fast, I start editing the plugins on the wrong track without realizing.
