P: Enhance Details broken - All-black preview and final render

I was super excited about the new Enhance Details feature rolling out today.  However, something about it refuses to work for me.  When I select the feature on an image, the preview pane only shows a completely black pane on the "Enhanced" version.  Furthermore, when I click the "Enhance" button, processor and GPU rev up and the progress bar moves, but ultimately it only renders a completely black DNG.  This seems to happen on any photo in my collection.  I have verified that I am updated to the correct version of windows, and that I am working on a CR2 RAW file.  Screenshots:

I did an uninstall and then re-installed the latest Intel Graphics driver from HP for my laptop, still getting the black

Thanks for checking. See Simon's suggestion of a clean install below

Could you try follow https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/lightroom-gpu-faq.html to do a CLEAN driver install of the latest driver from the vendor to see if it helps.

Do you see the same thing in Adobe Camera Raw as you do in Lightroom?

Disable GPU doesn't work for me either, just using the built in Intel HD Graphics 620 (i5-7200U)

Disabling the GPU does not have any effect.  It still appears black.

If you disable GPU in Preferences>Performance do you see a preview in the dialog?

Unfortunately, updating the drivers didn't solve the issue.
