This should be fixed in today's update: http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2016/04/camera-raw-9-5-1-now-available.html

Please note that this is the final version of Camera Raw that will work using Mac OSX 10.7 and OSX 10.8.  Upcoming releases, starting with Camera Raw 9.6, will require the use of OSX 10.9 or later.

I am brand new to Photoshop and I just downloaded a free trial of Photoshop CC 2014. I need to open a JPEG file and I get this message. Could not complete your request because the file was not found. Any suggestions? I can't seem to find an easy answer.

Ok. Let us know when it will be ok with the 9.5 or upgrade.

The engineering team is investigating this issue. It appears to be a conflict with Mac OS 10.7 & 10.8 specifically. In the meantime, to workaround this issue, roll back to Camera Raw 9.4

In this configuration : Mac OS 10.7.5 and CC 2014, i had the same problem. Camera raw 9.5 doesn't works. But with the 9.3 it's ok

For those of you having trouble applying the latest update to 9.5 (using the normal updater app) under Mac OS 10.7 / 10.8 as described in this thread, can you please try the standalone installer here?

https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-in-installer.html

There is a section titled "Camera 9.5 Installer" with a specific download for the Mac (named CameraRaw_9_5.pkg.zip).

Thanks for your response. I was able to figure out a fix last night.

My work Mac is a 2007 Mac Pro so I can't update the OS beyond 10.7.5. When the update showed up in my CC app updates (it showed up as a Photoshop CC 2014 update) I ran it, and it apparently unsuccessfully tried to install camera raw plug-in 9.5 leaving me with no plug-in at all. I don't know if it was not compatible or the installation failed. I tried to install the 9.5 plug-in two other times from the stand alone installer and it said it was installed successfully but did nothing.

To fix, I downloaded the camera raw 9.1.1 plug-in and manually put it into HD>Library>App Support>Adobe>Plug-Ins>CC>File Formats

This fixed every issue I was having and all is working perfectly.
And a brand new Mac Pro will replace this dinosaur next week so I don't expect to have any further issues 🙂

Many thanks for your time.
