Even though it is a Camera Raw update, it appears in the Creative Cloud window as Photoshop CC (2014) Update.  For instance, my window shows an Update for Photoshop CS6. The actual update includes Bridge and Camera Raw etc.  It would be easy to assume that it is, in actuality a "Photoshop" update.

Photoshop CC 2014 hasn't had an update in over a year.  I  think you're referring to the Camera Raw update from last week.

I am having this exact problem after running the update for Photoshop CC 2014 today. I've also uninstalled, reinstalled, run the stand alone cr9.5 installer and still no luck. Bridge and Photoshop do not have any CR options available.

I was working in Bridge on raw images and had rated, rotated and color coded an entire project and after the update for Photoshop completed I went back to Bridge and watched as the preview images rotated back to the original position, the star ratings went away and then all of the preview images turned into the generic arw icon one by one as I watched.

This is a huge nightmare in the middle of a tight project deadline...

Additional note: I just installed Photoshop CS6 and it opens all files normally.

OK. I have some notes in with the Camera Raw team. We'll dig in more and get back to you.

Okay, I performed an Uninstall of CC 2014 and after it finished there was an Update button for CC 2014 in Creative Cloud. I clicked on that an after it was finished installing I launched, but am still encountering the same problems trying to open JPEGS and Raw.

I forgot to mention That I have Photoshop CC installed and it has the same problem. Not surprising since I updated it yesterday too. Something is wrong with the Update.

I don't think you can install CC 2015 if you're still using Mountain Lion. I don't want to upgrade my OS.
