Browser doesn’t open within Dreamweaver

Hi, so far DW (current version 21.6) had worked ok. Suddenly under current version OS Tahoe 26.1 (25B78) it stopped to function. I have a site definition to my local html css etc files on my MacBook. Nevertheless, to open the local html files within DW via "open in browser" doesn’t work, no matter what browser I added to the browser list. Since years this error has not occured and also restarting DW or deleting / readding browsers to the browser list doesn’ fix the situation. Also rebuilding the local site index didn’t fix it. What’s the reason for this error and how can I fix it? Thanks a lot!

I’m experiencing the same problem.  When I try to use Open Browser (Safari or Google Chrome) on my MacBook Pro running macOS Tahoe 26.6 using Dreamweaver 21.3, I get nothing.  I’ve done all of the above (1) Full disk Access for DW, (2) DW Settings-->Real-Time Preview → Default to Static Browser, Don’t Default to Static Browser, Preview Using Temporary File, Don’t Preview Using Temporary File.
Nothing seems to work.  I started having this problem 4 months ago, and none of the suggestions o the blog sites seem to change anything for the better.  --  Darrel

When opening my .html with a right click (CNTRL on my Mac) I have the option of choosing which app is going to open it.  When I do this, I get the following error message:

Apple could not verify “PS405.html” is free of malware that may harm your Mac or compromise your privacy.

There is no difference when using Safari or DW to open the .html file.

I came across the following suggestion, and it appeared to clear everything up.

Go to:    Dreamweaver → Settings → Real-Time Preview
I uninstalled my web-browsers and reinstalled them,  and clicked “Apply.”

After that, the File →  Real-Time Preview  →  Safari    sequence started working again.

Hi @Mijago,

We have released Dw 21.7 update, which resolves the Real-time preview issue with the Safari browser on macOS 26 Tahoe. If the problem persists, please try allowing the Dw app Full Disk Access under your Mac's Privacy settings.

Please refer this helpx article for the steps to allow Full Disk Access for Dw as a workaround solution for browser preview: https://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/known-issues.html

Have a pleasant day!

Thanks,

Nayan

What happens if you open the browser manually outside Dreamweaver first, then from Dreamweaver go to FILE ⇒ OPEN IN BROWSER?

Please report results in which Browsers & version #s.

PS: preview for static websites is checked! So, this wasn’t unchecked nor did unchecking and checking it fix the issue.
