Randomly when already having multiple documents open if i open a new one it will not render and all i can see is a white screen - i am only using text view for things like php and twig  / html / css. When opeing dreamweaver new it does show briefly the same white screen but then will finish rendering but when the problem appears the same white screen will stay white.
this is lastest 21.8 dreamweaver and a fully updated windows 11

    Hi @thejudge

Thank you for the detailed information.

I attempted to reproduce the issue on a Windows 11 system using Dreamweaver 21.8, matching the version you reported. I tested with multiple documents open and opened additional PHP, HTML, CSS, and Twig files, but I was unable to reproduce the white-screen rendering behavior. On my test system, documents rendered normally.

Since the issue appears to be intermittent and environment-specific, could you please provide the following information to help us investigate further?

    • Does the issue occur with specific files or with any file type?
    • Approximately how many documents are open when the problem occurs?
    • Are there any external monitors or display scaling settings in use?
    • Does the issue persist after resetting Dreamweaver preferences?
    • If possible, please share a screen recording showing the behavior when it occurs.

Any additional details or steps that consistently trigger the issue would help us narrow down the root cause.

This sounds like a GPU issue. You might try the following:

    1. Disable screensavers & other non-essential background processes.
    2. Get the latest drivers from your graphics card maker’s website.
    3. Switch to Code/Design view (Ctrl+Shift+F11).  Live takes up more resources.

i want to add that the problem also happens after my computer has activated its screen saver / gone to sleep - then ½ of the open documents will have the white screen that only restarting can solve.
