Illustrator no longer updating when new fonts added, without restarting.

I'm having the same issue. Version 29.8.2 updated 14 days ago. 

I have experienced the same issue, and it’s quite frustrating. I had to roll back to version 28.7.10 to get things working again. Hopefully, this can be addressed in an upcoming update. 

Yes as of today i still need to restart illustrator everytime i install a font into the system. particularly problematic whent trying to create fonts and test them 

I've been experiencing the same problem since the last update. It's really annoying. Hope Adobe fixes it soon.

This is also an issue for me on version 29.8.2, I tried to roll back to 29.8.1 but that didn't fix it. I then rolled back all the way to 28.7.10 and it works again.

Do you though? How could you break such a basic feature in the first place? Now we have to keep restarting the program just to access a font which might now even work in a design? Perhaps it's time Adobe redirected their focus on the fudentals of design rather than AI generation.

We have a fix for this going in the MAX release (end of October). Please try on the main build after that and confirm.

Hi all! I'm having the same problem here, lastest version October 8th, as I saw on the previus comments the issue on the beta is now fixed so it will be updated on the normal version soon, right?

I just reverted to pervious version 29.8.1 using the Creative Cloud Desktop app and it has alowed me to use my normal workflow.  I am designing fonts and it is helpful to preview the results in Illustrator without having to re-start between every adjustment.  I will update to verion 30 when released out of beta.

As it seems to be fixed in the Beta, then I imagine that it will be in the stable release, soon.
