Doc is locked?

Hi, 

I'm in AI beta online.  I can see the open new document.  I can see the tools and can select them.  However when I try to use the tools, it's almost as if the doc is locked.  Nothing happens with any tool-- text, shape, pen, etc.  It's very frustrating as I do not believe that my students' computers will allow them to download AI thus we need to be able to use the web version.  Can you please assist?  I should add I'm on a Macbook Pro, updated software, using a chrome browser.

    Thank you for reaching out, and sorry for the trouble.  I am able to use the tools fine on my end on my MacBook Pro machine. Could you please check on a new document or a different browser and see if that helps?
