Lightroom Classic 15.4: Develop adjustment is silently reverted when applied immediately after switching photos with arrow keys

Description:
When working quickly in the Develop module — applying an adjustment, navigating to the next photo with arrow keys, then immediately applying another adjustment — the second adjustment is visually applied for a fraction of a second, then automatically reverted. Both the image and the slider value return to their prior state. This is not a display/refresh glitch — the slider value itself rolls back, indicating the catalog write is being overwritten.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Open Develop module, select any photo.
- Apply an adjustment (e.g., Exposure +1.0).
- Press the Right Arrow key to move to the next photo.
- Immediately (within ~0.3–0.5s) apply another adjustment (e.g., Exposure +1.0) via slider or keyboard shortcut.
- Observe: the adjustment briefly appears, then both the image and the slider revert to the original (unedited) state.
Expected Result:
The adjustment applied in step 4 should persist, as it does when waiting ~1 second after switching photos before adjusting.
Actual Result:
The adjustment is silently discarded; slider returns to its default/previous value.
Workaround:
Waiting approximately 0.5–1 second after switching photos before applying any adjustment avoids the issue. This significantly slows down fast culling/editing workflows.
Troubleshooting already performed (issue persists in all cases):
- Disabled GPU (Use Graphics Processor: Off) — no change, sometimes worse.
- Disabled Lightroom Cloud Sync — no change.
- Increased Camera Raw cache from 5GB to 20GB and purged cache — no change.
- Issue confirmed with only a single photo selected (not an Auto Sync issue).
- Issue persists across all catalogs (not catalog-specific or corruption-related), and has been present consistently for approximately 2 months.
- Reset Preferences (Shift+Option at launch) — no change.
- Tested with standard Apple keyboard (not a third-party keyboard issue).
System Specs:
- Lightroom Classic version: 15.4
- Camera Raw version: 18.4
- macOS: Sequoia 15.1.1
- Mac model: Apple M1
