P: Arrow keys no longer advance to next photo in filmstrip in Develop

When I use "+" key to go up on the exposure slider it stops my arrow keys from being able to move left and right on the film strip. If I press "+" it does its job and makes the slider go up but it makes it so I can't go left and right using the film strip. However, if I press "-" it works fine and I can still select the next and previous images with the arrow keys.

I've gone back to 13.4 and it works fine so it's clearly the update is the problem.

The right and left arrows work in the loupe module.  When I switch to the develop module, the left and arrows will work until I apply a setting to multiple images or even a single image and then it stops working.  If I hold down the command key and use the arrows, they will work as long as I am holding down the command key.  I just moved from an Imac to a mac mini.  Would love to see this fixed.  It is quit vexing, and I am not the only one having this issue.

The bug is triggered by + on the numeric keypad. As a workaround, type - and = on the top row of keys to adjust the slider, or use Cmd/Ctrl Left/Right Arrow.

@Naftoli2: "can the catalog be downgraded to the previous version of LR?"

You can install the previous version (13.4):

Your current catalog will work just fine in 13.4.

I just realized it's behaving just like the OP said, so it must be that. I read the workaround, thank you for that! I hope it gets fixed because it's very confusing this way and it's slowing me down a lot.

My arrows worked fine for years without exception until this moment. I started using Aftershoot AI edits and it just stoppped working. And then, out of the blue, works again for a brief moment, before it stops working again. It's very frustrating. I'm using Mac and latest version (I think)

This has been driving me crazy since the update! I rely on speed and reliable trusted workflow in my work, I can't believe the developers made such a stupid change! PLEASE change this back ASAP.

Same issue here. This is a serious issue, and breaks the learned behaviour over 13 years of LR usage for 3 different people in our studio. Please issue a fix for this ASAP. We process 100,000+ images per month in LR, and not being able to use our numeric keyboard as we have been for over a decade is quite insane.

As a workaround while waiting for this to be fixed, use - and = on the top row of the keyboard to adjust the sliders rather than + and - on the numeric keypad. Or use the documented shortcuts Ctrl Left Arrow and Ctrl Right Arrow to switch photos.

@osovitskiy

Map your mouse keys to Ctrl+Left and Ctrl+Right. Problem solved until the fix is released.
