P: Brush aborts just as I'm about to use it...

Sometimes I go to add a new brush adjustment, but after setting everything up, when I go to apply the first stroke, it immediately aborts/brush is suddenly deselected.

Does not happen often.

Lr 3.4.1, win 7/64.

This issue has been fixed in Lightroom 4.1, which is now available. In Lightroom, go to the Help menu and choose "Check for Updates".

Thanks,

Hi All,

Does it happen only when the Targeted Adjustment Tool is active? Try this: activate the TAT (for example, by clicking the little circle in the upper left corner of the Tone Curve panel). Then click on the Adjustment Brush to expose the Adjustment brush controls. Then change an Adjustment Brush slider, or draw an adjustment brush stroke. Adjustment Brush controls will then close. Is this what you're seeing?

Thanks,
Ben

Happens with Win XP (32 bit) as well. Very rarely, though.

I can confirm this issue on Win 7 64. It is not reproducible at will as far as I can tell.

I do get an adjustment pin but only a small area is affected. I have to reopen the adjustment brush but the pin is still active. It happens once or twice a day normally.

I have not seen this on the Mac OS.
