P: brush cursors not working on 2011 Mac/MacBook Air (OS X 10.7.x Lion)

I'm running CS5 version 12.0.4 on a 2011 MacBook Air and the brushes do not work when resized between approx 300 - 650 in size. I don't know if this is a bug but the issue occurs in Lightroom as well. Please advise when an update will be issued to fix this. The software is pretty much useless to me with this issue affecting it.

Seems as though no one is working on this problem! Too bad! Just another frustration with the software.

That is exactly the same issue on my machine! ...and it is now April 7th, 2013, and the problem has not gone away. I am even in PSE 11 and the problem shows up in my main account but when I log out of my main account and go to my secondary account, the problem disappears!

There is something wrong with the adjustment bush size and location in LR4 Mac version.

The size of brush in screen jumps from 49 to 27 and the brush disappears from screen. If brush is used with a value between 27 to 49, the location of brush in screen is not correct. I'm using a Mac version of LR4. I'm using a roll mouse to control the brush size. Tested with three different roll mouse, no effect.

I recently upgraded to Lion. Now, when working in Lightroom 3.4.1 in the Develop module, the cursor will disappear for no reason. Also, it will suddenly switch to the Library when I move from one image to another.

We usually can't comment on the status of Apple's bug fixes or releases.

Yes, sometimes people get confused about the brush cursor settings. Other times, it's the driver. We've talked a few people through troubleshooting it (reset prefs, verify brush size, etc.) and found that there are still some driver issues remaining.

CS6 did add a lot of workarounds to try and avoid the driver issues - but we can't work around everything.

See my post above, reporting this "problem", and a solution from Mr. Cox. This is not a problem at all and as far as I can see all the driver issues have been sorted.
