P: Bug when using adjustment brush, mask overlay and a Wacom tablet

I have found a bug found in Lightroom 6. When I use the adjustment brush, I use the ‘show selected mask overlay’ feature but with Lightroom 6 it is hardly visible when you make an adjustment. Very very pale pink. With Lightroom 5 it was much more visible. If I go to adjust an existing photo I altered first in Lightoom 5 and open it in Lightroom 6 the mask overlay is much deeper pink but as soon as I brush on more adjustment, what ever I add shows as pale pink. The problem happens when I use a Wacom tablet or Wacom mouse. I have just had a chat to Victoria Bampton and she just reproduced the same problem with her Wacom tablet. With her Apple trackpad though it worked fine. I am using Yosemite 10.10.3.

Driver 5.3.0-3 will not work on Yosemite 10.10.3 and that is the last driver they made for it. If I run the pen in 32 bit then it can be used.

Sebastian is running that driver on Windows 7 and still having the problem.

Actually when I got the Mac I am using at the moment the Wacom just worked as is. I will check what drivers are available for this tablet and report back.

Sorry, perfect on the small too. Mac using 6.3.11-3. Stu, which driver are you on? I'm wondering if it's an older device or older driver issue.

I can confirm the lack of pressure sensitivity in Lr CC using Intuos 2 with drivers 6.2.0w5 (latest for this tablet) on Windows 7. Worked ok in 5.7.1.

I imagine you will get the same problem with the small as well Victoria. Hopefully the bug will get fixed quickly.

That was an Intuos 3 Medium I was using to test. I also have a recent Intuos Pro Small here that I'll test later too. There have been other (fixed) Wacom related bugs, so it doesn't surprise me that this one's popped up.

I am using a totally different Wacom and imagine Victoria will be using a different one to the both of us. Mine is a Wacom CTE-430 Sapphire which comes with a pen and mouse. I can remember there being a similar problem with Lightroom 4 and Wacom tablets at one point.

The adjustment brush in LR CC/6 ignores the pen pressure of my Wacom Bamboo Pen & Touch (model CTH-460). It works perfectly in LR 5.

Driver version is 5.3.0-3.

After more use with the brushes with a Wacom tablet the strength of the adjustments is also not correct no matter what you use, clarity, sharpness, exposure, temperature, tint etc etc. They all come out under strength.
