P: Compare View on 2nd Monitor shows no image on Zoom.

After LR Classic 13.0 and update 13.0.1 Lightroom is behaving weird on my second monitor.
Before I could use the compare mode on the second monitor when in the develop module on the first without any issues.
Could zoom in and out on the comparisons.
After the update this behaves odd.

Sometimes it will zoom in and out as before but most of the time it doesn't and one of the selected pics for comparison won't even show (just black) or sometimes even zooms in at a different percentage compared to the other. This only occurs when in the Develop module.

Switching from Compare to Loupe on the second monitor sometimes won't work either - display goes black.

When I switch to the Library module on the first screen there's no issue.

I've got a very robust Windows system with 32 GB of RAM and a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8GB of RAM which before (v 12.5) just did the job without any trouble.

Seems like Adobe rushed to do this update but forgot to test it thouroughly.

When I first reported this Adobe support had me turn off GPU acceleration and that fixed the issue. They then walked through my system and found that the on board graphics adapter was enabled (still no clue how that got re-enabled, but that's a separate issue). Disabling the adapter seemed to fix it. The problem is back. The on board adapter is disabled and the problem happens whether or not GPU acceleration is on.

LRC is not usable to me. Reverting to the prior version isn't really an option because performance is so poor I can make brew a new pot of coffee while waiting for Denoise to finish.

@Rikk Flohr: Photography

Hello Rikk, on top of Compare View, Loupe View on my second monitor also shows no image when zoomed in.

My Lightroom Classic Version is 13.0.1 [ 202310121438-d2af310c ]

Internal Camera Raw Version 16.0 [ 1677 ]

Operating System: Windows 11 - Home Premium Edition 11.0.22631

Displays: 1) 3840x2400 2) 1920x1080

Was such issue reported by someone else  already?

Just an added update. Still no resolve.

other inputs,

GPU is active in all other programs I use without issues, that I have not seen.

it appears to be only LR. For me anyway.

hopefully get a fix soon.

Have the same issue. When I use 2nd monitor and try to zoom in on the image on 2nd monitor, it just goes black. The only thing I can think of that I did after importing was generate full previews of all my images in the import.

None of  of the suggested solutions here has worked for me. As I can see in posts here it is common on AppleOs and Windows platforms. Seems it is not a user problem. Means it is no driver problem depending in a system, it is a problem of LR 13 to handle the GPU in development mode. Were is the fix, four weeks are gone and this issue still crashes my workflow while paying for it.

My 2nd monitor works fine until I zoom in, then only a partial image is shown.

Unfortunately, I have it off. I tried to do the GPU off and export off and did the restart a few times. always the same results. GPU on always sends image off the screen.

when it's off, it works just fine

also- Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 with the latest update.

Sadly that hasn't worked for me. The only thingthat makes the second monitor work correctly in the Develop module is having Use Graphics Processor set to "Off".

Preferences->Performance->Use smart previews instead of originals (untick)

I turned it off and turned Gpu for image export off too. Restarted, turned them on and restarted again. Now the second monitor works like it should.

This has worked for me as well, turning off GPU accelation. They need to fix GPU accelation. I have used LRC for years without this problem, Have the latest and gratest update as well. Please FIX! Thank you
