P: Contains Words Bug (Big Mallard Ducks)

'Contains Words' has a data sensitive bug that causes it to behave seemingly flaky.

Details are findable on the forum if the forum search ever gets fixed. I remember it by the keyword: "Big Mallard Ducks". Try searching for a photo with this keyword using 'Contains Words' and the various contained words and you'll see the problem - somebody already identified detailed cause - see somewhere on the Photoshop Lightroom forum.

I never use keywords with spaces anymore, so this bug means nothing to me personally.

This one falls in the category of "should be fixed next rev" in my opinion - it has persisted for a long time now.

    PS - One can find "Big Mallard Ducks" (Contains Words) just fine in a 'Title' - maybe the problem is just with keywords.

    Did Adobe look into fixing this before Lr3.6 was released, but couldn't come up with an expedient enough solution, or has fixing this bug never been seriously considered yet?

    IIRC, the problem shows up when the last letter of a word is the same as the first letter of the adjacent word. That's why "big mallard ducks" fails.

    (Can't even find my own posts because of the really annoying search bug. Really, how useful is a forum that you can't search in?)

    This problem *really* needs to be acknowledged, and fixed!!!

    Its repeatable on both platforms - its strange but its true and *really* needs to be fixed - preferably in next dot release, but certainly come Lr4.

    Makes Lightroom keyword handling *appear* flaky because it *is* flaky - not good, no not good at all..........

    This bug was *not* in Lr2 - first presented in Lr3, still present @17509010.4.1.
