I updated Lightroom on Oct 16, 2024, and now it keeps crashing shortly after I open it. What can I do?

Thanks!

MacBood Pro, Apple M4 Max, 128GB, 8TB, Sequoia 15.3.1,  LRc 14.2

This started yesterday, I start LRc and I do nothing and it shuts down and a report is generated.

I have uninstalled, reinstalled and used an older lrcat with no results. I have uninstalled all Adobe productes (PS and PS beta).  I have around 22K in photos if that matters.  I am at a lost of what to do next, other that build a new catalog which I really don't want to do.

Please HELP!!

Apparently a corrupt catalog.  So I am rebuilding a new catalog.  Just a friendly reminder keep more than on backup of your catalog.

Should I just uninstall version 14.0.1 and reinstall the prior version?

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling 14.01.1 with no luck.

I've located your LrC report and written a bug. Updating status.

We’ve reviewed the email address you use with this forum and find no crash reports in our system.

Did you see a crash dialog?

Do you use a different email address when filling out the crash report?

Was the crash dialog Adobe’s?  Apple’s?

It appears to be both Lightroom and Apple that I get error messages from. Separate windows. The LrC window has heading Error Report for "Lightroom Classic". It shows the same email address as I have on this forum, which starts with "jeff". I have clicked "Send report" on this dialogue window several times over the last couple days. I just did so again now. Thanks.

You are in the wrong forum. I will move your post over to Classic.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
