P: Crash on startup

I was using LR 8.2 today and tried to use the Enhance Details. An error came up saying I needed to update Windows 10 for it to work. I updated Windows 10 and ever since Lightroom Classic CC and CC for Desktop crash upon startup.

I have uninstalled Classic CC and gone back to 8.1 and I am able to work. This is very frustrating.

Same here. Downloaded the October 2018 version of Windows 10 manually. Although "Enhance details" now loads, it creates a white screen in Lightroom CC Classic and Photoshop CC when I execute the program with an X-T3 RAF file loaded. No DNG conversion made. Have tried with Graphics Processor enabled and disabled. I'm using a 12 months old HP laptop with 16GB of RAM.

I tried using the new "Photo:Enhanced Details" feature with a raw file from a Canon SL2, and the feature crashes every time when the "loading" animation runs, and a crash report dialog box opens after a few minutes. This happens with and without the graphics acceleration turned on in preferences. What sort of troubleshooting steps can I take?

Exactly same problem have had to roll back to Lightroom Classic CC 8.1
