P: Crashing on every exit.

Updated to Classic.  It crashes each  time I close, whether asking to test integrity and optimize and save when exiting, or even when asking to 'skip' these steps and close.  Confidence is low that changes won't be lost, so can't really use this upgrade until this is fixed.  Crash reports sent each time.  Win7Pro SP1, 64bit, GPU acc is off.  No problems with the last 2015.12 release.  I need the latest (Classic) to support a new camera. Thanks.

I have updated and been running 7.2 without a recurrence of the issue.  All seems good again.

All.  Old test cat  created with 7.0 crashes after update to 7.1 .  Also, I've created a new cat in 7.1, imported a few images, and guess what, it crashes too.

Is it happening on a new catalog or on a particular catalog?

Just updated to 7.1 but my test catalog still crashes on exit.

Hi Marion, We have fixed this crash in Lightroom 7.1 build, however I will need few information from your end to investigate further on this issue.1) System info ( Help -> System Info)2) Dxdiag report. (win + r and type dxdiag), save all information and share with me3) In preference go to performance tab and share the screenshot. From above information, we will try to analyse the issue.-Kanheiya

Hi Kanheiya, I have sent a comment after Bill's as I have the same problem. If I continue to use LR Classic and it only crashes on exit and when at the 'Optimizing catalog' stage during a back-up process, will there have been a backup done? You say I won't lose changes made, but are my backups done if it crashes at the optimizing stage?

I have had the same issues as Bill. I did a clean install of the latest driver for my NVIDIA Quadro 600 graphics card, and after working for a few hours in LR Classic with no problems, I closed it and got the usual 'LR has crashed' window. I did send a report. I am using Windows 7 and have 16gb RAM. I have no problems with Lightroom CC 2015 and can go back to that, but I have already spent a lot of time in LR Classic CC and this work may not be shown in CC 2015.

there were the initial crash reports submitted, as well as a whole lot in succession at some point (see post from a week ago) while I tried a variety of things .
