P: Crop tool showing last image (GPU on)

I don't know if it was for me or the other Jerry, but thanks for the information.

The thread is not marked as solved, Jerry. It currently has no status. I am changing it from No Status to Acknowledged. The bug cross-referenced here is still open but I do not have a time frame for resolution that I can share at this time. 

Same here. Can a moderator revert the status of this thread please? This is not solved and I’ve also highlighted it previously.

I have noticed the same thing. It doesn't last as long as it did before and doesn't do it all the time.  Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.6 running Adobe Lightroom Classic [1186149].

This bug seemed to go away for me with 7.4 and currently is showing signs of it again with 7.5.
I tried the reset preferences procedure and it did not fix it.

Most are reporting it fixed. Let's reset your preferences and see if that cures it for you:  

A Preference File will survive a Lightroom uninstall/reinstall. Sometimes weird behavior is corrected/cured by resetting the preferences. 

Reset Procedure:

1. Close Lightroom.
2. Hold down [Alt/Opt]+[Shift] while restarting Lightroom. 
3. Overwrite the Preferences when prompted by the dialog.
4. Close Lightroom.
5. Restart Lightroom.

Does the previous image with crop tool behavior continue after resetting the preferences?

I’ m using Lightroom Cc 7.4 release on Windows 10. When I use the crop overlay tool it reverts to previous photo and stays there.

in sone situations there is still a short flickering of the previously cropped image in LR 7.4.
It can best be seen when you change the Folder/Collection, select an image and press the R key.
To me the behaviour seems somehow different dependend on which GPU mode you use (DirectX or OpenGL (via setting the config.lua flag)):
With OpenGL the screen gets black for a while until the image to be cropped is displayed.
With DirectX the probability for the short flickering of the old picture is higher.

I did not installed the update yet and the bug even doesn't appear anymore

I just tried it and the bug seems to be gone.  Thanks for taking care of the problem.
