P: Full Screen mode: Print & Book modules show wrong colors but output correctly

LR Classic 10.0 on macOS Big Sur 11.0.1 shows the original, unedited version of the photo when using the "Zoom to Fill" function in the Print module. In other words: All the edits done on the photo do not show when "Zoom to Fill" is checked. This seems to happen regardless of the Paper size setting or any other setting in the Print module.

So you open Book Module, choose a two-picture layout, put a picture in each box and all is fine. You don’t like the framing of one picture, so you want to zoom in, and as soon as you do that (just one lousy percent): by magic, that picture looses its color profile (on screen only). Thoug nothing is changed once you get the book from Blurb, it is still extremely troublesome because you want to color match the pictures. And you can’t! In my experience only Develop Module shows colors correctly wether fit or fill screen or 100%. Oh get the job done, Adobe.

I recently switched to Big Sur (11.4) and now I am seeing the same problem. In print module, the photo is less saturated, less contrasty, and white-balance is shifted to the blue side. This happens whether the zoom to fill button is selected or not. The print, however, looks ok. Still, this is very annoying. And it's been known for at least 4 months now without a fix???

Oh, and when the bug is fixed, it will still not match exactly Develop. Develop module uses a unique preview architecture the other modules do not.

I suspect the preview you see in Print and at the same zoom Library do not match, and that is the bug (they should match).

It is a bug, I've reported it.

The good news is, it doesn't affect your output. And since you can't soft proof in that module, the preview isn't 'accurate' anyway.

Just noticed visible color flattening when checking "Zoom to Fit" in Print Module.  I see some online discussions on this. Any solution?

@bentnielsen
Totally agree. The near complete lack of updates to LRC smells like the product is either going to be depricated or replaced.  Either way this broken function needs to be fixed or I'm cancelling  my monthly Adobe account.

This problem is extremely annoying, turning Lightroom into a non-professional waste of time. Come on Adobe, get your act in gear.

Having this issue in full-screen preview. Interestingly, it seems to always happen when switching to full-screen preview from "Library" but intermittently when switching from "Develop". I got an impression that the manifestation of the issue changed after LrC update from 10.1 to 10.3. Previously I had it on zoom-in in Library, but now I cannot reproduce it the same way.

Hello BillB,
I did a few test runs and the problem (for me) appears to be only on the screen, prints to a Pixma MG 6220 came out great, matching (almost) the screen.

Oddly enough, I do not have this problem when using raw images from my 5D MIII.

Kind regards,

Dimitri

*BillB I only have the problem occurring on screen, not in print.
