P: Geotagging does not work well in IPTC fields

When I geotag photos in Map module the program fills the name of the place: Country, Province, City and sometimes even Sublocation. So far so good. However, when I switch to Library module the location fields in Metadata's IPTC are still blank. Or sometimes they even have data from a different photo! It only happens when only IPTC option is chosen in Metadata panel. If I choose "EXIF and IPTC" the problem is gone.I think this is a bug.I use LR 4.1 on Mac.

This was fixed on Lightroom 5 or later.

The auto filled location info (through Map module, shown grayed) is not refreshed when selecting another photo in the Library module. Other fields are refreshed.

and mark a different photo that you know has different location.

Yes, I definitely look at right place. Besides, I asked the question at different forum and got the problem confirmed from other people. I don't know what OS they use though.

For reproducing the problem switch to IPTC only view (as you already did according to the screen shot), stay in Library module and mark a different photo that you know has different location. Does the location data changed or is it stuck to the previous photo as it does for me (and some others)?

Cannot reproduce it on Windows.

The IPTC view has two sets of location fields: Contact (photographer's address) and Image (location where photo was taken). Make sure you're not looking at the wrong one.
