After downloading the new version 11.0 of LRC, it will not start. I get an error message: The procedure entry point SetThreadDescription point could not be located in the dynamic link library ......... Headlights.dll.

Have googled for solution and have unistalled, restarted and installed again - no luck!

Please help.

Some of our customers have reported success clearing this error by using the the Adobe Cleaner Tool during their reinstall.

Try following this procedure in this order and see if it cures the issue:

This procedure works for both Lightroom Classic and Lightroom Desktop.

If you are using Lightroom Desktop it can change the location of your local storage. Please review this setting after resetting preferences.

Reset Procedure:

1. Close Lightroom.

2. Hold down [Alt/Opt]+[Shift] while restarting Lightroom.

3. Overwrite the Preferences when prompted by the dialog.

4. Close Lightroom.

5. Restart Lightroom.

Then

Clean Lightroom Install Procedure

  1. Close Lightroom
  2. Restart the computer
  3. Use the Adobe Creative Cloud App to uninstall Lightroom
  4. Restart the computer
  5. Install Lightroom via the Creative Cloud App without launching any other programs.
  6. Restart the computer
  7. Launch Lightroom
  8. Wait 5 minutes

Hi,

I tried your solution, but it did not work.

As soon as I follow step 2 of the Reset Procedure, the error message pops
up.

I then proceeded to do the "Clean Lightroom Install Procedure", but also did
not work.

Any other suggestions?

How do I go back to previous version of LRC?
