LanguageVersion: 4.10

In the develop module, when one toggles the image view to "After Only" (after toggling to "Before Only") the image blinks / blips. To replicate:

1. Open an image
2. Go to develop module
3. Press \ key to toggle to "Before Only" view of image
4. Press \ key again to toggle back to "After Only" view of image -- a blip / blink occurs in the transition

Notes:

- Blink / Blip sometimes does not occur until the second toggling of before / after using the backslash key

- Behavior is the same whether using the backslash shortcut key, or selecting appropriate options from the View menu

This bug is significant because it makes it difficult to see the difference between before and after, and the effect of one's edits. It's actually quite a hinderance to editing images with Lightroom.

Are you guys still seeing this issue with the latest version of Lightroom Classic? I am not able to reproduce this.

Have the same problem on my brand new 27" iMac with LR CC 2015.12
only fix is to disable GPU accelleration

Hi Rikk,

I'm running Yosemite on Mac Retina (too scared to update to Sierra and maybe not supported with my hardware)  and still have the flicker problem specifically going into the "before" view.  Disabling Graphics processor acceleration fixes it for some reason, but slows down image update in Develop Mod during edits.  Also wondering why when checking "use smart previews for editing" I advance from photo to photo less quickly than when I physically remove the external HD.  Although that's the fastest way I found to advance through the photos, I wish there would be something faster and more responsive.  (hope it's OK to ask about the different problems in this thread on the forum).

Jerry,

I checked with the developers and there were two separate bugs against this issue. One was fixed but a Windows bug still remains. I will set this thread to In Progress again for those Windows user still experiencing the one-time  Before/After video anomaly.

Thanks Carl but my comment is in reply to the suggestion that it's been fixed.

Thank you very much. This does appear to be fixed on my system.

Once I disabled Graphics Processor acceleration (Performance tab under Preferences), my problem went away.  Suggest you try that.

Hey Rikk, yes I've got the most recent drivers from nVidia's site. Check the vid to see the "image blink"(pardon the soft, unsharp quality)

@Jerry Syder.  I tested on Windows 10 and Mac 10.12.5 just now and it is working correctly here.  Are  you using the latest driver from nVidia's site?
