In the develop module, when one toggles the image view to "After Only" (after toggling to "Before Only") the image blinks / blips. To replicate:

1. Open an image
2. Go to develop module
3. Press \ key to toggle to "Before Only" view of image
4. Press \ key again to toggle back to "After Only" view of image -- a blip / blink occurs in the transition

Notes:

- Blink / Blip sometimes does not occur until the second toggling of before / after using the backslash key

- Behavior is the same whether using the backslash shortcut key, or selecting appropriate options from the View menu

This bug is significant because it makes it difficult to see the difference between before and after, and the effect of one's edits. It's actually quite a hinderance to editing images with Lightroom.

Lightroom CC: When I press "|" to show the before and after of a photo it flickers to black for a second, please fix this it is very hard to compare before and after when black interrupts the transition.

I was able to duplicate this and have filed a bug on this behavior.

Thinking back to when I used Windows, this seems like the perfect situation for updating the graphics driver, but I don't believe graphics drivers can be updated on a Mac except via MacOS updates, which is one of my (few) complaints since switching to Mac, since graphics driver updates seem to be low priority for Apple. The exception to this may be the old Mac Pro towers.

Thanks, but still happens with graphics processor disabled, even after restart.

I cannot replicate problem on a late 2012 MacMini with Intel HD 4000 graphics. Switching is very smooth. MacOS 10.12.3 as on your set up. Graphics processor acceleration is "disabled due to errors" by Lightroom on my set up. Maybe a fix is to disable graphics processors acceleration in lightroom performance preferences (if it is not already disabled)?
