P: Imported DNGs not showing B&W Mix

Right -- I posted the bug recipe just to make it easier for Adobe developers to reproduce the problem.

I already had a fix for this as stated in my original post. This is just to alert Adobe of the bug issue:

"Currently, I can fix this by switching the Treatment to Color and then back to Black & White to get the B&W Mix panel to appear with all the sliders shown with the correct settings, but this is tedious."

Here's a bug recipe:

1. Select a raw photo.

2. Library > Convert Photo To DNG.

3. Edit the DNG in Develop.

4. Select Treatment: Black & White.

5. Metadata > Save Metadata To File.

6. Remove the DNG from the catalog.

7. Reimport the DNG.

8. Edit the DNG in Develop and observe that the HSL/Color panel is incorrectly displayed rather than B & W:

9. Change Treatment to Color and then Black & White.

10. Observe that the B & W panel is now displayed.

If the student cannot reimport the file to check it, then can you send a file in for evaluation?

Students are then sending me (their instructor) their editing images as exported DNGs.

* Update* This is happing with files from multiple people. All the same issue.

As per your question: Students will not be about to import the same DNG into Lightroom because it would be a duplicate file.

All students started by importing a RAW file from their camera via "Copy as DNG" in import dialog, then editing the DNG to B&W in Lightroom Classic, by changing the Profile to Adobe Monochrome or one of the other B&W profiles, and developing it with the B&W Mix panel.

If your client tries to open the dng do they see the same issue?
