P: Library collection panel scrolls unexpectedly when you duplicate/rename/delete a collection set

When you're viewing a collection set of smart collections in the Collections panel, if you duplicate/rename/delete a collection set, the viewport seems to scroll up to the bottom of the highest open collection set... The viewport should stay put on the collection set I am currently working in during these operations and not scroll for me. This can become very tedious as I make 5-7 smart collections with every collection set that I create!

Unlisted YouTube screencast of my Collections panel during these operations: https://youtu.be/AE8R_MGG3uY

Lightroom does not show Smart Collections as they are transient in nature. Only Static Collections will be shown in this flyout.

This and the Full Text in fields issues would be feature requests. This is already requested on the forum. Please take the time to add your voice to that request.

You may want to consider making a feature request (Posting as an Idea) regarding Smart Collections in the Go to Collection - flyout as well.

It is exactly as the other video posted earlier on this platform by another user. Exactly the same issue on the Collections Panel and Keywords Panel, i.e. bouncing up and down.

In addition - the Title, Caption and Headline fields do NOT show the full Text. This means for every image one is obligated to click to see what text it contains in that field which means a loss of time of 10X as the workflow is continuously being harassed

And, images in a Collection are showing up as not in a collection.

ALSO - Populated published Smart Collections are showing up as empty as Lightroom does not read the EXACT parameters such as Keywords or Collections.

I believe this has been fixed for me, but I've now moved to Lightroom CC for workflow purposes so... oh well. But thank you for fixing the bug!

A video showing your issue might be helpful as I am not seeing what you are describing. Would that be possible to obtain?  Please include your system specifications as well.

I am running Lightroom version 8.4 [201908011719-03751b60] -

The PANELS on both sides i.e. Collections on Left AND the Keywords on Right including the other ones on the right BOUNCE UP AND DOWN which has resulted in 4X the amount of time in any workflow and a serious frustration in getting through any Editing or reorganizing of data.

4X the time on a small group of images.

Lightroom Classic 8.4 was released today and contained a fix for this issue. Please update to 8.4 and verify that you are no longer seeing the issue. Thank you!

"I know I should be looking at Lightroom CC"

Adobe insists that LR Classic is not an end-of-life product and is getting full support and development resources, so there shouldn't be any reason to look at LR CC unless you really want the cloud features.

Would you like me to record a 5 minute video of my workflow process? When I need to make new folders, a number of smart collections to stay organized, it seems to be quite a battle to always be scrolling and really takes time away from editing photos. I know I should be looking at Lightroom CC but my entire collection and everything I'm used to is in Classic.
