Invoking the Library Filter bar’s Restore Default Presets creates duplicates of the built-in filter presets.

To reproduce in LR 15.2 / Mac OS 26.2:

1. Set the option Preferences > Presets > Store Presets With This Catalog.

2. Open the attached catalog “filter-presets-bug”.

3. In the Library Filter bar, click the drop-down menu and do Restore Default Presets. Observe that the built-in presets Default Columns, Filters Off, and Location Columns have been duplicated.  Examining those presets’ .lrtemplate files, the contents of the duplicates are identical.

    @Sunil_Bhaskaran,

    Following the original steps, I wasn't able to reproduce the problem in a virgin installation of Mac OS and LR either. However,  modifying the recipe to use my preferences file does reproduce the problem on a virgin installation.

    To reproduce in LR 15.2 / Mac OS 26.3.1:

    1. Exit LR.

    2. Uncompress the attached "filter-presets-bug.zip" to get the catalog folder "filter-presets-bug".

    3. Copy the file "filter-presets-bug/com.adobe.LightroomClassicCC7.plist" to ~/Library/Preferences.

    4. Open the catalog "filter-presets-bug/filter-presets-bug.lrcat".

    5. In Preferences > Presets, verify that Store Presets With This Catalog is enabled.

    6. In the Library Filter bar, click the drop-down menu and do Restore Default Presets. Observe that the built-in presets Default Columns, Filters Off, and Location Columns have been duplicated.  Examining those presets’ .lrtemplate files, the contents of the duplicates are identical.

    Hi John,
    I tried the above steps, but couldn’t reproduce the bug. I don’t see the duplicated entries.
    Are there any additional steps needed?

    Thanks,
    Sunil
