Giving all acces to LRC doesn't solve the problem

According to Adobe it may occur when there is a Photoshop Beta installed with the same number than Photoshop… I tried reinstall a newer Beta but the issue remains the same

I am opperating 15.4.1 and that is when I picked the fault up. Lightroom not opening images to PS witrh Cmd E. I thought we fixed this issue a year ago and here I am with a repeat of the situation.

Hi @thoaknek

Sorry for the experience you’ve had. You mentioned you’re on version 15.4.1 — I’m assuming that might be a typo, as the latest version is 14.5.1. I’m hopeful the issue is resolved by now. If not, could you please confirm whether you’re already on the latest version? If you are, please try resetting Lightroom preferences and see if that helps. Before doing so, make sure to create a backup of your Preferences folder, as this will restore your settings to default. You can follow the steps shared here: [link to steps].

Regards,

Srishti

Somewhere in these threads I found the answer - issue was with Mac Security & Privacy - Accessabilty privileges.

Thanks whomever posted the fix - it worked

I have the exact same issue on my MAC. Now running Sequoia 15.6.1.  - I have cleared all cache's. added an additional skratch disk - and I have more than enough RAM and disk space, running PS 2025 and Lightroom Classic 14.5.1 . But this this comes up and I can't get on with my editing.

This is hugely frustrating and so far everything I have found to "fix" this or something similar, has not helped.

Please could we get some professional ADOBE insight to this?

Thanks

In Lightroom v.8.5.1, utlizing the Edit in Photoshop function does not complete. Photoshop v.26.10 will open, but not the selected image. Testing the functionality with previous versions have not been successful. Not having the abilty to use this adds uneccessary steps to import/export contantly, just to complete a few touchups that Lightroom is unable to do. The entire community needs a fix for this without losing all data and/or starting from the scratch.

Open Lightroom > select image > select Edit in Photoshop > Photoshop opens but the image does not. We should have the image open in Photoshop from Lightroom so we can do our additional edits, save, and have the image automatically update back in Lightroom.

The fix that worked for me was to install the very latest Lightroom update
v 14.5.1
Should work for you

@j._2360  It isn't true the Adobe hasn't provide a solution. With the recent updatge to Lightroom 14.5.1 the problem is fixed.

My System: Intel i7-8700K - 64GB RAM - NVidia Geforce RTX 3060 - Windows 11 Pro 25H2 -- LR-Classic 15 - Photoshop 27 - Nik Collection 8 - PureRAW 5 - Topaz Photo

Same thing here, I restored a previous version of LR and can now continue working.
It's unacceptable that there are so many comments about this and ADOBE still hasn't provided a solution!

I was advised to install the very latest version of Lightroom 14.5.1 which
has worked for me. Worth a try.

I just saw @Sameer K's post about the 14.5.1 release.  I update my Lightroom Classic and now my photos open in Photoshop again.

Thanks!

Hi, yesterday LRC & photoshop were working fine, exporting straight to PS & back, today, photoshop says i have no LR files!

I have read heaps of threads here, but none recent. I have tried all of the suggestions!

I have unistalled and reinstalled PS4 times, including dropping back to a different version.

I uninstalled both programs, then reinstalled photoshop as suggested (and thankfully got back my LH workstation and actions etc!) and then lightroom but its still not working. It opens Photoshop but the images does not migrate there.

I checked the registery and the path is correct.

this is driving me to distraction, I need it to just work!!!

please help!!
