P: (Mac) People masks selections are not as expected (Entire Screen or Square Area)

This was originally posted under "Bugs" but I really want this to be answered as a question. I will be happy to delete whichever post doesn't fit under the best category however! Thank you.

When using Lightroom Classic 12.2.1 with MacOS Ventura 13.3 (on a Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2020 iMac with the AMD Radeon Pro 5700 XT 16 GB and 72 GB of memory)...

I am getting the entire image selected when I try to use the "Select People" then choosing "Entire Person." Lightroom Classic allows me to individually select the hair, teeth, eyes, etc. as usual but when trying to select the entire body, the whole screen gets turned pink to indicate that the Lightroom thinks that the whole picture is the person.

I've attached two (redacted for privacy) screenshots of the "Subject" masking that still works as it should and the "Entire Person" mask that shows where the entire photo area has been selected incorrectly by the AI.

Anybody have any thoughts? Thanks!

Ventura 13.5.2 updated graphics and audio drivers! Masking is working again for me! How about you?

Somehow the ‘select people’ mask tool stopped working. It worked perfectly fine before, but right now it does not work anymore. In the image below there are five people (blurred for privacy), but as you can see there's only the option to select 'person 1'. If I select 'person 1' it selects the entire image, instead of one person. So I'm not able to use the masks at all. I work on a iMac with macOS Ventura.

Does someone know how to fix this?

Just installed OS update: Ventura 13.5.2. I was soooo hopeful. 1st thing I did was go to the group LR masking option. NO CHANGE...Still will only select "Person 1" which includes the who group-Still no separation of people. I am greatly discouraged & can't help but wonder...What will make getting a Fix for this happen??? When???

Well, as long as Adobe, Apple oder AMD are not taking care for updating the GPU driver, there is simply no other option..

I had the issue for month now, needed to transfer data from my MacPro 2019 to my MacBookPro M1 just for adding masks and then transfer the stuff back for the rest of the editing.

The AMD Radeon Pro 5700 made troubles on my MacPro 2019 from the bedinning. Never should a bought the Mac with this GPU..

I solved the problem.. probably not the cheapest way but faster then Adobe/Apple bugfixing the GPU bug.. 🙄

@Luis31972729l9jm is on Windows (he posted the System Info earlier). His screenshot and description matches the symptoms others on Macs have reported here.  Since you reported that an RX 6600 didn't work on Mac, and Luis reported updating a year-old-driver on Windows fixed his symptoms, this further suggests that AMD and Apple haven't updated the Mac OS drivers.
