P: Metadata entries in UI don't update after applying/syncing Metadata

Steps to reproduce:

1. Photo A has  metadata (e.g Sublocation "1234")
2. I select also Photo B
At this step metadata appears as <mixed>

3. Using LrC or the SDK sync the metadata (Sublocation") from Photo A to Photo B

Actual Result: Ui still says <mixed> until I change selection or user changes metadata view (i.e. Selected Photos > Target Photo > Selected Photos)

Expected Result: UI updates.

@johnrellis I think you reported this some time ago but I can't find the bug report.

I can reproduce this bug using the Library Sync Metadata command rather than the SDK -- see the screen recording:

Tested on LR 15.1 / Mac OS 15.7.1:

1. Set the caption of photo A to "a".

2. Set the caption of photo B to "b".

3. Select both photos, with photo A most-selected, and observe that the Caption field in the Metadata panel shows <mixed>.

4. Do Sync Metadata and check just Caption. Observe that the Caption field still shows <mixed> (incorrect).

5. Select just A, then select both A and B.  Observe that the Caption field now shows "a" (correct).

You may have been thinking of this bug involving <mixed> but which is somewhat different:

@johnrellis thanks for the test.

I did not think about trying the built in Metadata Sync.

I have edited the title and my op.
