P: Print Module, Page Set Up Crashes Lightroom Classic V 12.0.1

Good day. I ran across this issue yesterday, 6 Nov, and I'm not sure who (Adobe, Apple, Epson) is responsible for t/s and fix- it is frustrating. Simple to explain - fixing is another issure entirely.

I'm using a 16" 2019, Intel MacBook Pro w/32Gb Ram. I upgraded to MacOS Ventura and Lightroom Classic v12.0.1.  Going into Print Module and trying to select Page Set Up crashes Lightroom. I tried restarting the computer, resetting LR Preferences and turning off GPU Acceleration to no avail.

Do the LR Print Module, Page Set Up and Printer Settings, pull their input from the printer manufacturer drivers? Again, I'm not sure who is responsible or even how to go about troubleshooting/fixing. Any help/advise would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have two projects for customers in work - I should have known better than to upgrade this soon.

I believe the Adobe technicians manipulated the Canon drivers, I wouldn't know how to do that nor do I know what they actually were doing during the hours long attempt to resolve the problem.  I did reinstall the drivers myself with no benefit.

If you remove all traces of the Canon printer driver software, does it crash?

Mac Studio, OS Ventura 13.1, LR 12.1.; Epson Surecolor P800

When choosing paper size in Print module, LR crashes immediately.

It works and prints fine when using a template but i'm am not able to choose a paper size, any size, without LR crashes. The consquence is there is no way to print an image other then using a template. The crashing only started last week after printing some 250 pages for a calendar using a template and about 100 holiday cards also using a template.

I have:

* installed the latest drivers for the P800

* uninstalled and reinstalled the printer via system preferance.

* reset LR's preferances

* run First Aid on this computer

In LF, if i export to Epson Print Layout, it will print just fine.

Oh, i spent 2 hours on Chat with Adobe tech; we decided it was a corrupt catalog and i used a recent backup which worked for one day and then the crashes were back.

Does anyone have experience with this problem? All and any help appreciated.

Just to be clear:

1.  Over 6 hours of Adobe sharing my computer and three different technicians...no resolution

2.  I believe this happened after installation of Ventura 13.0.1.  but not totally certain.

3.  13 inch Macbook Pro 2020 i5 processor

4.  Two Canon printers...8066a and pro-100

5.  It crashes immediately when I push the "page setup" button in print module.

6.  Adobe said they are working with high priority on fixing the bug and that it will be part of an updated Lightroom download.  Hopefully sometime this year!

Weird, it does not crash on my laptop, running the same versions of LR and OS, also an M1 chipset.

I'm on a MacBook Pro 16" M1 so we have that in common.

Does it crash when you select Page Setup or after clicking OK

Tried again, no issue with either option.

And again, does it crash with a new, clean user or when booting into Safe mode?

Still no workable solution for me despite hours of Adobe attempting to fix the bug.  Told I have to wait for the next version of Lightroom update which will hopefully correct the problem.

I described what worked for me above (at least, it worked up to a point): delete ALL printer-related files from your system and install the latest driver downloaded from the site of the printer manufacturer (provided it is more recent than your system update). I had the same problem but can now print, choose standard print presets and adapt them -for one time only. However, I lost my old presets, and when I make new custom presets they are not stable, the settings revert to default paper type every time.

I stay away form Airprint because Airprint drivers don't have all the options the Epson driver has. I use an USB cable, no wi-fi or network or...
