P: "Save metadata to file" not greyed out when more than 100 movie files selected

Movie files can't have their metadata saved to the file and normally you'd know that because the option to save the metadata is greyed out if you attempt it when a movie is selected. However, if you select 101 or greater movie files, the option becomes selectable. Which is frustrating because it makes you think that Lightroom will save the metadata to the files.

For what it's worth, this may be by design. The Lightroom SDK for plugins provides a mechanism for commands to be enabled when certain conditions are met, e.g. when photos are selected.  The documentation says, "If the selection is very large (>5000 photos), menu items are enabled regardless of this value." This is probably a compromise to ensure that menus display quickly.

Perhaps there is a similar mechanism with videos (e.g. more than 100 videos selected).

I am able to duplicate what you are seeing Alan. I have logged it as a bug.
