P: Screen turns black when opening Photoshop

Like title says, the screen of my MacBook 16" turns black for 2-3 secs while (fresh) opening PS. Sometimes the same in LR when switching from Grid View to Develope Module.

This happens only on battery mode with Automatic Graphics Switching ON (MacOS settings)
Turning Automatic Graphics Switching OFF solves the issue.
Turning OFF graphics processor in PS solves the issue
But that's not a solution for me.

Anyone experiencing the same?

@334259 No I didn‘t. Since it’s a software issue I’m gonna wait for an update.

I am experiencing this same issue - Did you have any luck? Did you go to Apple?

It seems to be an issue with switching integrated graphics to discrete graphics which, of course, is supposed to be a clean hand-off (and usually is).  Right now, it's hard to know if it's a macOS update or Photoshop update or both that will resolve it.

You might follow the this thread in case a solution gets posted there instead of here:

Makes sense but when opening FCPX for example, which also uses the graphics card, the issue doesn't appear

Because this does Not happen on other systems. If it did you would see many many reports of it.
