P : Selected Published Folder or Collection is not deselected if a folder is selected

[Note from John R Ellis: This was reported fixed in 2015.8, but there have been numerous reports of the symptoms coming back since then: See later posts in this topic.]

It may sounds confusing, but when I select one collection or a published folder and go back to Folders and pick up one folder, Lightroom does not deselect that collection or published folder and I can not go back to that collection until I select another collection.A folder in Folders section is deselected when a collection or published folder is selected.I'm using LR CC 2015.1.1

Very similar symptoms just happened to me. I had a published collection selected as the source. Then I clicked on a folder containing photos in the published collection. The published collection remained highlighted.  When I clicked on the published collection, it remained highlighted but it didn't change to the segmented view.   Then I tried selecting other collections and folders -- they selected properly, but the published collection remained highlighted and its photos didn't display.  Only when I clicked on another published collection and then back to the original published collection did it display properly.

Unfortunately, after I restarted LR and the symptoms went away, so I couldn't make a screen recording.

These symptoms are very similar to those of the bug(s) previously reported as fixed in this topic.  I've removed the "solved" designation to leave it open.

In the Library module, when I look at a PS-Collection (Publish Service Collection), the grid is segmented into sections such as New to Add, Modified to Republish, etc.  If I switch my source to a folder by clicking on the folder name and then go back to the PS-Collection, all is good.

However, if instead I click on the Regular (dumb) collection in the Collections Panel where the selected collection is synced with LR-Mobile and then go back to the PS-Collection, the PS-Collection is no longer segmented.  This problem does not occur if I had switched to a non synced collection.

Once the problem has occurred, If I then go to a non synced collection or a folder then back to the PS-Collection it is once again segmented.

Sorry but this problem is not solved in LR CC 2015.8. It just appeared again a few days ago while working with collections. I have nothing to add to the above description. Same symptoms.

This should be fixed in the CC2015.8/6.8 Update. Give it a try and let us know.

I'll chime in with the same problem.  It's been happening for quite awhile, at least through all the CC/2015 releases and I seem to recall it being present in LR5 as well.  It has also persisted on my Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10 machines.  I am still on CC/2015.6 so can't say if it's been fixed in 2015.7 or not.

Thanks, that's helpful in establishing the problem still exists in the most recent version of LR (2015.7).

Oops---just saw this. Didn't get a heads up on your request. Here's the info:
Lightroom version: CC 2015.7 [ 1090788 ]
Operating system: Mac OS 10Version: 10.11 [6]
Is that what you need? Thanks!
Also, looking at the screen shot above---that is indeed my issue.
