I have a similar issue since upgrading to Mojave. When I click on theImport button the dialog opens in the middle area but the Library panels remainopen on each side and cannot be closed, so it is impossible to Import. I havetried selecting other Modules (Dev, Print etc) and sometimes this clears theLibrary side panels but not always. I have tried different screen modes and seen problem regardless of which selected. Restarted LR but still same issue yesterday. However tried again just now (still logged in from yesterday) and working normally.

I also have an import problem but I see a ghost of the import screen on the regular Library screen. If I press the Develop button I get the full Import screen. This only happens in full screen mode. I have a Late 2015 iMac w 32gb of ram.
I also have a similar problem with Photoshop superimposing screens. Anyone ideas?

Same problem, but solution:

In the import menu, select "New Phots". and they will appear!

Même problème, mais solution :

Dans le menu d'importation, sélectionner "Nouvelle Phots". et elles vont apparaître !

Since updating my iMac Pro OS to Mojave, Lightroom Classic does not display the import window.
I have found that this only happens when using Lightroom in full screen mode. Is anyone else seeing this bug? Is there a fix?

I know the workaround, I just don’t see why this can’t be fixed.

While waiting for this bug, see previous posts in this topic for two workarounds.

When trying to import pictures to a specific folder in Full Screen mode, the left and right panels cover the import dialog options, making it impossible to import pictures. I need to exit Full Screen mode, then everything looks ok. This looks like a bug with Full Screen mode on macOS High Sierra.

Michael, as a workaround until the bug gets fixed, you can hit the tab key to make those side panels disappear and reveal all of the import dialogue

I am running Lightroom CC 8.1 on a MacBook with OS Mojave 10.14.2.  I can import files into lightroom fine when I first start lightroom but if I try to import again the import screen gets locked behind the sidebars and I can't control what to import.  I can re-boot Lightroom and import, but that's a pain.  Anyone have an answer or similar problem?
