P: Slow UI when using Mac and Custom Display Profile

Hello,

Since upgrading to Lightroom Classic v10.0, all UI-related functionality is painfully slow. All editing functions are working correctly and quickly but scrolling through the catalogue or even scrolling a side panel is taking many long seconds to refresh. Unreasonably long.

Disabling GPU Accellaration has no affect on my Lightroom's performance.

macOS Mojave 10.14.6

Mac Pro (Late 2013)

3 GHz 8-Core Intel Xeon E5

32 GB 1866 MHz DDR3

AMD FirePro D700 6 GB

@jlehet I guess you can be as disdainful as you want then without getting fired.

Correct.

My boss would never fire me.

I'm the boss. <g>.

We are now done with this part of the off topic discussion.

Maybe you should check your contract with Adobe. No communication or ethics clause?

Nope.

Now this is of course not only off topic it's CWOBaT (colossal waste of bandwidth and time).

Lastly, before I ignore you due to this fact: I wish announced that the fix is coming.

Over and out.

Rodney is not an Adobe employee but he does have 'inside information' - which makes him a very important person.

He knows a fix is coming 🙂

However, given his interpersonal skills, Rodney is probably unemployable.

I guess you can be as disdainful as you want then without getting fired. I'm glad that a fix is in the works, and I appreciate you telling us that is, though really it is better in this world to treat people with less contempt if you can pull it off.

With this kind of clause, my phone call to Adobe CEO may have some unexpected effects. It it a small small word, you know...

I am not sir.

Do I have inside information however, yes.

Long time user, new to this board (now that Lightroom has become software I am really not enjoying using). So is andrew_rodney really an Adobe employee facing the public in this role and customers this way? I have never seen anything like that if so. Even for Adobe that's hard to believe. Either he is a rogue poster pretending he has some inside info, or Adobe has even worse problems than I could have imagined.

Within one week, you will be even more ridiculous to have announced that "the fix is coming".

Sadly, your answer encapsulates the problem to perfection.

Andrew, the main problem on this thread is not Adobe, it is not the bug, it is not the time to fix it, the main problem is you.

Then stop reading; no one is forcing you to be here or read my posts.

You are free to leave as I'm free to stay.

The call is yours bud.
