P: Unable to advance to the next photo

Why no one writes about the fact that in develop mode, after any manipulation with a photo, it is impossible to go to the next photo in the feed? You go, but the photo remains the same as it was, you have to go back and only then go to the next photo. This is a global problem!!  Anyway, I did some research and I realized why many people are silent about it, because this problem occurs only when using the +\- buttons on any keyboard, even on macbook !!!!. If you use only mouse or touchpad, there is no problem with photo transition. That's why many photographers don't pay attention to it, because they don't use the keyboard. Therefore, ADOBE does not react in any way.

Please please Adobe can we have a fix for this? never mind poitn colour, new masks or any other fancy new fucntions, being able to move from oen image the next is perhaps the most basic function there is, and it doesn't work. Is there a way I can roll back to a previous version that does work?

This doesnt help, as without the smart previews, Lightroom spends an age generating the images, which takes longer than going back an image then forwards again.

@Sameer K  Sameer, thanks for responding. This workaround also does not work, the point is that if you work quickly, it is not possible to go to the next photo, if you wait until the photo is loaded in the navigation, then you can. But the workaround you suggested does not work. So we are waiting for an update. Thanks again

To get it to move to the next photo without any issues, make any adjustments and wait for the navigator preview in develop to update, then you can move to the next photo without an issue. It's slow, yes, but I think is better than pressing "next next back" to get it to show.

Hi all, here is a workaround that you can try:

In Lightroom Classic (macOS) / Edit (Windows) > Preferences > Performance > Turn off 'Use Smart Previews instead of Original for image Editing' if it is enabled & it should help.

If your workflow depends on the feature mentioned above, please wait a while longer & continue using the mouse or trackpad to advance. The team is aware of this and is currently working on it.

Thanks,

Any chance we can re-title this thread? There's a few people posting about the same issues but in new topics and it should be replying to this one.
