P: Unable to advance to the next photo

Why no one writes about the fact that in develop mode, after any manipulation with a photo, it is impossible to go to the next photo in the feed? You go, but the photo remains the same as it was, you have to go back and only then go to the next photo. This is a global problem!!  Anyway, I did some research and I realized why many people are silent about it, because this problem occurs only when using the +\- buttons on any keyboard, even on macbook !!!!. If you use only mouse or touchpad, there is no problem with photo transition. That's why many photographers don't pay attention to it, because they don't use the keyboard. Therefore, ADOBE does not react in any way.

Any update about this bug? I'm working using smart previews from my clients and this bug really destroyed my workflow. It's been a month since I updated to the version with AI denoise feature and since then I've been getting this bug, always getting stucked with the previous photo but the selection is already on the next photo. I thought it was my 4k monitor or my GPU that's having some issues. I switched to using my secondary 1080p monitor but still experiencing this bug. We need fix ASAP.

I'm not seeing this exact bug, my arrow keys work fine to move between photos either before or after edits, but I do see a lag in synchronizing (using two displays, main in loupe mode and secondary showing the folder grid.) The result is when I click the arrow key, the grid shows one image and the main window shows a different photo. This lag also happens when using the mouse to go to any other photo, its not just arrow keys. But eventually it syncs.

I'm using the 12.5 version a long time since the first week of this bug on the 13.0 and 13.01....but sometimes even in 12.5 I get a bug similar to this "next photo". Not always, but Lightroon gets "slow" during some hours using in the develop mode and when it does I have to close and open again. When it gets slow even in the 12.5 I get this bug of the next photo not appear normally.

This on my PC with ryzen and Nvdia card , and in my mac mini M1 with Sonoma . On mac run better than in my pc, but as I use for hours without stop...it gets really slow too sometimes. Same errors of next photo on both.

I think is a cronical issue , Lr is putting to many functions, and the software is not being optimized as it was in the past versions.

I think is the "new normal" . If was a simple issue  Adobe will not letting us here so many time .

I reversed my Lightroom version to 12* and all is fine. So I reccomend everyone does that to be able to do their work. 13* is impossible for workflow.

So, i will go straight to the point: can we have a damn software working instead of being free beta testers? We pay a lot of money to a multi billionaire company in order to wait too long for a fix? Every version of Lightroom brings an otrageous amount of bugs. MOVE YOUR A*S. My workflow is an odissey with this "next photo" issue bug. a damn odissey

I am defintely still having this issue too. Its pretty fustraiting that it slows down my workflow so rapidly, I have tried all the workarounds and nothing works for me... hopefully we get something sorted soon!

I just want to remind everyone here that regardless of ludicrous workarounds, Adobe employee updates and all the other "circus like" behaviour in these forums, Adobe is a company worth $277.32 billion with nearly 25 million monthly subscribers paying good money to use their services. If they can't fix what is now a relatively large selection of bugs in a piece of software that has been in development for over 17 years then I wouldn't hold out much hope for whatever fix is coming for this partciular issue to be either "timely" or entirely a 100% fix.

If all that revenue and time results in a consitantly poor performing piece of software that is now mostly unusable for working professionals and supported only by a handful of moderator level support agents then you have to ask yourself....*insert a question I'm sure I'd get blocked for again*.

I was going to comment on my testing with the prerelease fix, but then I don't know if I'm allowed to. Maybe someone can let me know if I can post about it here.

Just to mention as I think it has not been said here in this thread. If you edit a photo this happens, and if you don't all is fine.  However, if you edit photo, and wait 5-10 secs and then browse to next photo then all is fine.  Seems like you have to wait for Lightroom to finish something, and here it really matters how fast your computer is.

Note: I'm 100% aware Adobe are aware and are working on it

I too have had this issue albeit i'm surprised it's been known about for about a month or so without much movement forward on it. Hopefully can be fixed soon as its such an odd thing to break.
