LR4.2 When removing a photo from a collection and then pressing "undo" the photo is not returned to the collection and instead a preset is applied to the next photo.

This bug has been in LR for quite sometime. I keep hoping that they will fix it but i guess that they haven't found it yet. It's completely random. The only way around it i've found it to restart the application. Before i start doing my final processing in lightroom (when i use presets) i do a test first to see if it's working. Today, i did that test and things were fine, after processing maybe 7 of the 8 photos that i'm finishing, it stopped working and now CTRL+Z is applying a preset instead of undoing. Very annoying.

I'm having this issue too.

But I've discovered that is not only CTRL + Z that fire an randon preset. I've had this issue even with a mere click on About in Help menu - instead of showing the about dialog, LR "checks" the item in the menu and apply a random preset.

VERY ODD!

Consider clicking the '+1' button above.

I still have the issue and have to reset the photo as well. Another thing is that if I remove a photo from a collection (by unflagging it for instance), the photo will disappear, but if I ctrl-z to undo and bring it back, a preset is applied to the next photo and I then I have to remember which photo I just removed.

Oh the only way I can get it function normally again is to restart LR but it again happens within 20 mins.

I am having this issue. If I press undo or ctrl & z it applies a random preset which I can't then get rid of and have to reset the entire photo. It drives me crazy, especially if I have done a lot of work on the photo. I'm using Windows 7, 64 bit and LR 4.1.

Yeah, I have also noticed that it isn't strictly within collections. I have never noticed it until now.

I've had a similar problem too, from time to time - then it goes away. I never had even the slightest clue why it may come, or go... Haven't seen it much lately, although I do remember the last time, because I had forgotten all about it until then. Others have reported similar problems too. For me, problem wasn't confined to undoing remove-from-collection, but was always assigning a preset instead of undoing.

Right click > remove from collection. It also does this in the book module - which is where I have been working.
