Panic!!!

Windows 11, quite powerful PC with dedicated GPU, i7 13th gen 32GB RAM.
I updated to LrC v13 and updated the catalog upon opening. Now if I import a NEW photo and go to the development module, LrC crashes. no problem with photos already imported.

We’ve reviewed the email address you use with this forum and find no crash reports in our system.

Did you see a crash dialog?

Do you use a different email address when filling out the crash report?

Was the crash dialog Adobe’s? Microsoft’s?

Yesterday evening I installed LR 13 and upgraded my catalog. I opened a picture in the develop module to check out the new features. Played a bit with the new sliders then did something completely normal - clicked on one of my presets that changes texture to 20 and clarity to 10. It had worked an hour before - same process version, etc. Immediate crash! I managed to replicate this behaviour several times with different presets, each time crashing. In order to get it to start again I had to delete the .lock, -shm, and -wal files each time. I have also optimized the catalog a couple of times, each to no avail. In addition, I deleted the new catalog and re-converted the 12.5 catalog. Same thing.

I have also deleted the old presets and made new ones with the same settings. LR also crashes when I click on the new preset. Interestingly enough, there are a couple of other older presets that work (for changing the color balance on scanned slides). I have exported all of the presets to see if there's a clue in the xmp files, but I'm not an expert.

All of the new features in develop seem to work - in between crashes I did some testing. My computer is just a few months old and pretty speedy with catalog and files on fast ssd drives and a fast graphic card with 8gb ram. GPU is set to auto and worked in LR12 without a problem.

I've updated the graphics driver and installed Windows updates. Still the same problem. I also just turned off GPU support and that didn't solve the problem either.

I've attached three xmp files with develop presets. The two with texture/clarity settings (the one with "_old" in the name was created a couple of years ago and worked until yesterday, the "_new" was created today in v.13) cause the computer to crash, the one that changes the color balances works fine and causes no problems.
