P: (Windows) Slideshow Custom Text Bounding Box creates space at end of text

I'm currently running Lightroom Classic 13.4 under Windows 11. In a previous version of Lightroom, I used to be able to change the justification of custom text overlays in a slideshow template by moving the anchor to the left, middle and right, but now all such text is left-justified no matter where I place the anchor.

How do I fix this?

I have just installed version 14.1.1 of LrC and this problem is still present, five months after my bug report was accepted. How much longer is it likely to take before Adobe fixes this bug?

Note: I've rewritten the title of the bug report you submitted.

The actual failure here is that Windows instances of Lightroom Classic 13.3 and later do not correctly calculate the bounding box and pad the text's end with additional space. The change is a result of accommodating some bigger glyphs from GB18030.

For paste multi-line Custom Text, a separate bug exists to track RH justification (note: LH and Center are not affected)

Hey, @David C Anderson. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out. Please share the system info from Lightroom Help > System info > Copy & paste into a text document > upload & attach here.

I am seeing the expected behavior in two of my machines. Please add a short video or series of screenshots showing what you see. In the meantime, try resetting Lightroom Classic following the manual method shared here: https://adobe.ly/4aPIWol
