P: Won't auto detect memory card during import.

Hi all-

I am running a IMAC with Monteray v12.6.1 currently. This IMAC is 1 year old using the new INTEL chip. I downloaded the new release of LR Classic [v12 ] and discovered that when I insert a memory card to download images, LR does not detect and open the import mode as it use to do. I have checked the preferences and made sure the "Show import dialog when a memory card is detected" box is checked. I have also shut both computer and LR down completely and rebooted to make sure both had a clean start, and it still will not recognize the memory card when inserted. Everything I have done or used as it was before the new release.

I have contacted a few friends and they have confirmed the same issues. Anyone else having this problema d ndoes anyone have a solution?

Solved. Seems Win 11 had LR 10 selected for autoplay. My bad for not catching sooner.

Using LR 12.0.1 and WIN 11 22h2. LR does not open when memory carsd is inserted.

Lightroom preferences > General > Import Options >"Show Import dialog when a memory card is detected" is checked.

I'm running Lightroom 12.01 on Mac OS Ventura 13.0. Before upgrading (at nearly the same time) to both of these, my LR import dialog was opening automatically when I plugged in my photo card. Now it doesn't. It's still set to do so in the LR (General) Preferences. If I manually click "Import" LR finds the card and files just fine. But no automatic dialog opening.
I've turned the setting off and on in LF Preferences, I've given LF full disk access in the OS Privacy settings. I can no longer find a Lightroom preferences plist file in my Mac OS Library, to trash and recreate it.

Any suggestions? Is this a common bug?
