When using the map, and changing to a new--totally different location--the map location data in the upper right corner doesn't change--it's stuck on where the map was the prior time/visit.

I open LrC.

I pick an image.

I open the map tab.

the data in the upper right corner of the map does not coincide with the data.  It's not even close.

See the attachment.

Hi @HsW_in_MD-USA , Thanks for reaching out to the Lightroom Classic Community Forum. Let's try a few things to see if we can fix this issue. First, make sure you're on the latest version of Lightroom Classic, then try the following:

    1. Restart Lightroom: Sometimes, simply restarting Lightroom can resolve temporary glitches. Close the application and reopen it.

    2. Check Metadata: Ensure that the new image you are selecting has valid GPS coordinates in the Metadata panel. If the image lacks GPS data, the map location will not update.

    3. Switch to Map Module: After confirming GPS data, switch to the Map module again. Check whether the location data in the upper-right corner updates correctly.

    4. Reset Lightroom Classic Preferences: Please refer to this HelpX article for steps.  https://adobe.ly/3HsQXpA . It is recommended to back up your catalog before resetting preferences. You may refer to this article for more information:  https://adobe.ly/4dW8vqF.

If none of these steps work, we can continue to troubleshoot the issue. I hope this helps! ^CH

I am using AutoUpdate, so I'm always on the latest & greatest.

    1. I am coming into LrC fresh.  I shut down when I'm done and so every time I start, it's a fresh iteration.

    1. My camera is equipped w/ a GPS, and it's always enabled.  That's not the problem.
    2. I did find out that sometimes it does switch correctly, so while the problem isn’t constant, it is intermittent--the most fun kind of problem to troubleshoot! :-(
    3. I'll have to do the other trouble shooting later--and PS, I back up my catalog every time I exit.

Thanks for the links.  I'll respond later or tomorrow….
