reasons for failed export?

on an external thunderbolt SSD

I have still got this issue on a completey new material ina new project.  

This is the Substance 3D Sampler forum, and the log file is posted four replies above this one.

Export failures can be caused by file size limits, format incompatibilities, insufficient storage, or software crashes. Checking error logs or trying a different export format might help. What software are you using?

All project files and exported assets are on a thunderbolt SSD straight into the mac. Although assets sent straight to Substance from Creative Cloud app, I am unsure where those would be located.

Are the materials you used in a drive or in a cloud ?

If you create an another material in the same session and export it does it work ?
That would be amazing if you could share your project and log with us (you can send it in DM if ou don't want to share it here.

Shouldnt be. The 2 base materials are straight off the Adobe asset library.

I have no idea what 'Export Failed:Source is not of CPU type'  means.

May be that can be broken links to materials .. ?. Moved or deleted in system?
