Open Sampler, create project. Drop pre-made material onto sphere mesh and get really wonky / glitchy surface behavior: spikes and scales.  Graphics issue?

Thanks. There is no cache folder in my Adobe application support files. I cleared the cache via the prefs in the software, but did not work.

You are in the wrong Application Support folder.

There is 2 of them on your machine. Please follow my path 😉

Maybe the folder is in Hidden Folder mode.

I wish Adobe would bring back the B2M option.

Hello,

Due to OS migration some shader may have to be recompilated.

You can remove some data (not all data in a first time), in your case shader and render cache.

You will find data at Macintosh HD/Users/username/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Subctance 3D Sampler

If not I think the best way is to start with a complete new data base to avoid any corruption.

You just have to delete all folders contained in Macintosh HD/Users/username/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Subctance 3D Sampler

Tell me if it fix your issue.

Regards,

Guilluame

Hello - I updated my OS and reinstalled Substance Sampler. Now, when I drop in an image to create a material, it opens the project and scene, but does not display the mesh g=for the material. I am able to see the 2D view of all maps, but not the preview on any of the built-in meshes.  Log File:

Is there a technical reason to not upgrade to a more recent version? Monterey is EOL

The good news is I have the same Mac for testing.

The bad news is I cannot reproduce yet your bug on my machine.

Can you tell me which version of the OS are you using? I'm currently using Sonoma 14.7.4
