"Substance needs to close message" after starting the program

Hi there,

 

after weeks of trying different drivers with my 3090 and now 5090, it still crashes. In the main overview I get the message "Substance encountered a problem and needs to close". I have already sent the bug report multiple times but still I get no updates unfortunately.

 

Could you help me please, I really need the program to run.

 

Currently I run on the 572.83 driver version.

 

The issues started with the update to the 5.0 version of Substance Sampler.

Hi Cyrill,

 

thank you very much. All I had to do was the renaming/deleting the folder as you advised and for now it seems to work. Awesome!

    Thank you for sharing.

     

    Can you detail your repro steps, so I can understand how the crash occured? In addition, considering your crash report, I advise you to try to rename (for back-up) or delete this following folder:

    ~/AppData/Roaming/Allegorithmic (or Adobe)/Adobe Substance 3D Sampler

     

    It will reset your Sampler. You will just need to reconnect your local folders if any.
