Update & re-installation failure with Sampler 5.0

Tried several times to update to the latest version (5.0), and every time it got stuck at 94%. Upon cancelling, it got stuck again, and I had to force quit via Task Manager.

I uninstalled it succesfully, deleted the corresponding folder in AppData/Roaming/Adobe, and tried to do a clean installation, only to get stuck again, repeteadly only this time it was on 88%. Cancelling the installation led to the process getting stuck once more.

I'm running Win10 on a 3970X, with 64gb of RAM and a GTX1650, which uses the 560.94 drivers, and therefore shouldn't conflict with the process, as stated in another thread regarding the latest NVidia drivers.

Running out of ideas, any suggestions are welcome.
