Adding a linked smart object is resizing the Properties panel to fit the full path of the linked object.

When placing a linked smart object, the properties panel is now resizing to fit the full path of the linked item instead of truncating it like before. This is forcing the Properties panel to sometimes expand to half the width of my screen and is not resizable.
